What Safar collects when you send a request, where it goes, and how to ask for a copy, a correction or deletion.

Who is responsible

Safar is a product of Asadi Labs LLC, a limited liability company registered in the Republic of Armenia (state registration number 999.110.1578383).

For anything about your details, write to trips@safar.am.

What each request form collects, and why

Safar collects personal details only when you send a request. Each form asks for what a person at Safar needs to answer that request, and nothing is collected in the background while you fill it in.

  • Journey request: your name, email address and WhatsApp number; the number of adults and children, and the children's ages if you give them; your arrival date, or that your dates are flexible; the journey you shaped on the page (its length and season, who is travelling, your interests, the services you asked for, and the days you kept, changed or removed); the preferences you set there, if any (private or shared vehicle, mobility needs, hotel expectation, guide and pace); and, if you add them, where you are staying, your flights, your preferred language, dietary needs and notes.
  • Day request: your name; a phone number or email address; the number of adults and children; a preferred date, where you are staying, your preferred language and notes, if you add them; and which day you asked about.
  • Plan my trip: your name and preferred contact; who the trip is for; arrival and departure dates; the number of adults and children; how much help you want; your preferred language and notes. If you opened the form from a saved trip or a page on Safar, a short summary of that context is added to the notes.
  • Airport pickup: your name and preferred contact; arrival date and time, flight number, destination address, number of travellers and luggage; your preferred language and notes.

With every request Safar also records the site language the form reports, the address of the page you sent it from, the Safar product the form belongs to where it belongs to one and, if the link that brought you carried campaign labels (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign), those labels. If you opened Plan my trip from a shared trip link, the code of that shared trip is recorded too. This tells Safar where a request came from.

Mobility and dietary needs are asked only so that a trip can be arranged around them; give only what is needed for that. Notes are free text. Please do not put passport numbers or payment card details in them: Safar does not ask for either.

Where a request goes

  • It is stored in Safar's operational database, with a reference that is shown to you.
  • Where an alert address is set, the Safar desk is sent one short alert for each request, so that a person looks at it. The alert carries the request's references, its type, the Journey, Day or product asked about, the travel date and the time it was received. It carries no name, no contact details and nothing else you typed.
  • People at the Safar desk read the request and may add working notes and a status to it.
  • An approved local partner receives the details of the request, without your name and contact details, so that it can confirm it can run and price it. Your name and contact details are shared with that partner when it accepts the request. The driver for a request receives the details needed to carry it out. The partner is named to you before you confirm or pay anything.

Safar does not sell your details and does not use them for advertising.

My Trip and saved places

My Trip is kept in your browser's storage on your own device: what you saved, the note you wrote under each item, your dates and the services you ticked. Safar's servers do not receive it while you browse, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.

If you send a Journey request while My Trip has content, a copy travels with that request: the saved items and their notes, your dates and your service choices. It is stored with the request and read by the desk.

If you use the older "share trip" link, the list of places in that trip is stored on Safar's servers under a share code, without your name or contact details. Anyone who has the link can open it.

Cookies and analytics

Safar sets no cookies.

Safar counts page views with Vercel Web Analytics, which also sets no cookies. For each page view it receives the address of the page, which Safar shortens first so that nothing after a "?" or "#" is sent, together with the information Vercel describes in its own documentation: the referring site, the browser, operating system and device type, and an approximate country. Pages of the Trip Desk and shared trip links are not reported at all.

No advertising or social-media trackers are loaded.

Technical records

To limit abuse, each request is counted against a one-way keyed hash of the sender's network address. Safar stores that hash and a count, not the address itself. When a sender goes over the limit, the log line for it records the first ten characters of that hash.

Safar's own operational logs record a request's reference, its type and whether it was saved and notified. They do not record your name or contact details. In the rare case that the database refuses a request, the short error text it returns is logged, and that text can include part of the request.

Safar takes backup copies of the operational database. A backup holds the requests as they were when it was taken.

The website is hosted by Vercel and the operational database by Supabase. Like any host, they process the requests your browser makes, including your network address, in order to deliver the site. Their servers may be outside Armenia and outside your country.

What Safar does not collect

  • No payment details. Safar takes no payment and holds no card.
  • No passport numbers or identity documents.
  • No accounts and no passwords. You cannot sign in to Safar, so there is no profile.

How long requests are kept

Safar does not delete request records automatically. They are kept while they are needed to answer you and to keep a record of what was arranged, and they are deleted when you ask.

A copy, a correction or deletion

Write to trips@safar.am from the email address or phone number you used in the request, and quote the reference if you have it. You can ask for a copy of what Safar holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. A person at Safar will answer.

Deletion removes your name, your contact details, your notes and everything else you typed or chose in the request, including the stored copy of the request, the campaign labels its link carried and the desk's notes about it. Safar keeps the request's reference, its type, the Journey, Day or product it was about, the page it was sent from, the dates, the size of the party, its status and status history, and what was arranged, so that a record of the request remains without you in it.

Deletion does not reach details already shared with a partner; Safar passes your correction or deletion request on to that partner. It does not reach backup copies taken before the deletion, which hold the request until those backups are deleted.
