Armenia in a Week

A week that changes base once: four nights in Yerevan for stone and canyon, two in the forest at Dilijan, and the lake on the way back if your flight allows.

A starting journey, not the whole country. Keep what fits, change what doesn't.

What stays with you

Four moments from seven days.

Not the list of stops. The parts people still talk about when they get home.

Day by day

Every day has a job.

Keep, swap or remove any day. Your changes go into the brief; nothing is arranged until you confirm.

  1. 01Arrive · settleFree time

    Arrive in Yerevan

Pickup from the airport, check-in, and nothing else required. If there is energy left, a first walk and a first table in the centre.

    • No excursion
    • Energy: low
  2. 02First ArmeniaAnchor

Garni, Geghard & the Symphony of Stones

A temple above the gorge, basalt columns below it and a monastery cut into the rock.

Why here: The day that explains the rest: landscape, stone, and bread from the tonir. It goes first because it asks little of the road.

    • About half a day
    • Short road day
    • Moderate walking
  3. 03Go southAnchor

Khor Virap, Noravank & the Areni wine road

Ararat across the plain, one of the world's earliest known wine-production sites, a red canyon, and a table at the end.

Why here: The long day. It goes third, once you have your bearings and a day of shorter drives behind you.

    • Substantial road day
    • Light walking, ladders optional
  4. 04Slow downBreather

    A slower day in Yerevan

After two full days outside the city, this one deliberately slows down.

    • No long drive
    • Energy: yours to set
Something to hang the day on (optional, up to two)

North into the forest: Haghartsin, then Dilijan

The bags move today. Past the lake, under the mountain, straight to Haghartsin, and the first night among the trees.

Why here: The bags move today, so the day stays deliberately simple: Haghartsin on the way, then arrival in Dilijan with time left for the town.

Dilijan: the forest on foot, and a long table

No long drive. The seasonal forest walk, then an unhurried lunch in town.

Why here: Staying means the forest is a day, not a stop. If the walk cannot run, the time goes to the town and the table, never to another monument.

Back through the tunnel, the lake if your flight allows

If your departure leaves enough room, come back through the tunnel to Lake Sevan before the airport. If not, go straight to your flight; the week is complete without it.

    • Substantial road day
    • The lake only if your flight allows
Depends on your flight. Pick what sounds right; the desk fits it to your departure time.

How it is arranged

  1. 01You shape a starting journey and send it as a brief.
  2. 02A person at Safar reads it and checks what can actually run.
  3. 03The partner who would arrange it is named, with the itinerary and price.
  4. 04Only if you say yes is anything booked. Payment goes to that partner.

Designed by Safar. Fulfilled by an approved local partner.
